Frequently asked questions
The questions we get most often, with the answers our artists would give if you asked them at the chair.
How do you price tattoos?
Most pieces are priced by the artist after a free consultation, factoring in size, placement, complexity, and how many sessions the design needs. Small flash pieces have flat rates posted in the shop. We'll always give you a quoted range before any work starts — no surprises at the chair. Is a deposit required to book?
Yes. A non-refundable deposit secures your consultation slot and is applied to the final price of your tattoo. The amount varies by artist and project scope; we'll quote you the exact figure when we confirm your appointment. What is the age requirement?
You must be 18 or older to be tattooed at either of our shops, no exceptions. Government-issued photo ID is required at every appointment, including for clients we already know.Do you take walk-ins?
We take walk-ins when an artist has the time — call ahead to check the chairs that day. Larger or custom work always requires a booked consultation so we can do justice to the design. Are touch-ups free?
Touch-ups within the first 90 days are free for any piece tattooed at our shops, provided the tattoo was cared for according to our aftercare guide. After 90 days, touch-ups are billed at a reduced rate. What should I bring to my appointment?
Photo ID, a snack, a non-alcoholic drink, and anything that helps you sit comfortably — a hoodie, a charged phone, headphones. Eat a real meal within two hours of your appointment; low blood sugar is the most common reason a session has to pause. How long does a tattoo take to heal?
Surface healing typically takes 2–3 weeks; deeper healing continues for up to two months. Color and saturation only settle fully after that point, which is why we won't book a touch-up until at least eight weeks have passed.Do you accommodate allergies and sensitivities?
Yes — let your artist know during the consultation if you have a history of metal, dye, or latex sensitivities. We carry hypoallergenic gloves and vegan ink lines, and can adjust the plan accordingly. How does the custom design process work?
After your consultation, the artist sketches a rough composition and shares it for feedback. Most projects go through one or two rounds of revisions before the final stencil. We don't release final art prior to the appointment, but you'll see and approve the stencil on your skin before any needles start.Do you sell gift cards?
Gift cards return as part of a later phase of the new site. In the meantime, stop in to either shop and we'll write up a physical card for any amount.
